Sprite Shower
Those who admire the concept of guerrilla marketing will like this initiative. This was the first consultancy project by the Metropolis agency in conjunction with Ogilvy. Sprite's objective was to launch a different experience to reach its consumers and reinforce its concept: "refresh your ideas".
The brand installed a giant shower in the shape of a soda machine (like those common in fast food restaurants) on a beach in Rio de Janeiro. Called "Sprite Shower," the 10-meter machine offered beachgoers a refreshing shower experience. The initiative aimed to break the routine, creating an emotional and social connection between the brand and the beachgoers.
The result was more than 1500 "doses" of showers per day and a silver lion in Cannes.
Metropolis broke new ground for the first time, bringing its first award to Brazil and to Sprite.
